Amanda Logue Truth is indeed stranger than fiction, such as the case of Amanda Logue, a Florida porn star more popularly known as “Sunny Dae” and her boyfriend, fellow porn star actor Jason Andrews.
Co-Workers Turned Lovers The two used to work for Forbidden Gem, a pornography studio based in a 3-story rented apartment in New York City. This was where the two met. She was the beautiful blonde girl from Albany, Georgia and he was the dashing British-born DJ from Chicago’s Boystown District.
Both actors had worked extensively in the adult film industry and were said to have joined Forbidden Gem with good references. In fact, their employer, a certain St. Claire described them to be ‘capable performers.’ St. Claire also revealed that Andrews used his US Marine Corps ID to verify his name and age, which also reflected the fact that he was ranked as a corporal.
Andrews was well known for gay pornography, although his friends claim he was straight despite the fact that he extensively filmed homosexual scenes. His friend, Zelichowski revealed that Andrews did it for the money but that was it. He was viewed by many as someone who was a bit too eager to please, constantly trying to fit in. He was also known to occasionally become upset or bitter for no particular reason, almost as if he was always in a battle with himself.
In fact, Zelichowski later revealed that Andrews seemed to have an unstable element about him. Sometimes he would feel like he was walking on eggshells while around Andrews. Zelichowski also revealed that Andrews told him in one of their many conversations that he had seen people killed during his time serving the military, although Andrews never discussed those things in detail.
Logue on the other hand was well liked by the cast mates and crew and she told everyone she was the mother of a 9-year-old girl. They all found her to be helpful and charming, Andrews was also known to cook for everyone and occasionally crack jokes.
Later on, the romance between Logue and Andrews blossomed off-screen and when the crew left, the two decided to remain in New York.
Criminal Minds In the months to come, the two decided to push the envelope of risqué further when they crossed over from racy bed scenes to a highly sensational murder mystery plot, but this time a real-life one.
Amanda, who was widely known for her penchant for bondage, now presently lives under restraints behind prison bars. In May of 2010, Amanda, 30 and Jason, 28 pled guilty for committing the second-degree murder of Dennis “Scooter” Abrahamsen, the owner of a tattoo parlor. It was said that the crime took place during a sex party.
According to reports, the two even planned to have sex right after they stabbed to death and pummeled the skull of Abrahamsen with a sledgehammer. Logue in particular liked the idea of having sex with Andrews right after they accomplished what they were set to do.
Over the years, the two adult film stars had gained popularity and notoriety broadcasting their adventures over the Internet where they managed to grow a considerable following. In fact, they were known to be active on Twitter, where they seemed to get a kick out of sharing their exploits and escapades. This included mundane stuff like their first trip to a flea market to more titillating ones like their rendezvous in a booth of a tanning salon.
They have also been known to have no qualms sharing their sex scenes on beaches and in hotel rooms. Theirs was a life straight out of a movie -- uninhibited, shameless and exhilarating – at least to them and their audience, up until it took a murderous turn.
On the fateful night of May 14, 2008 Logue, who was then only 28 years old, was hired to attend a sex party, which was held in the home of the victim, Dennis "Scooter" Abrahamsen. Dennis was the owner of a thriving tattoo parlor located at State Road 52.
Hours before the party, Jason was documented tweeting that he had some exciting surprises for his followers that evening. The following night, a relative found the dead body of Abrahamsen on a massage table and it appeared that the victim was viciously stabbed to death and his head brutally bashed.
A Trail of Electronic Breadcrumbs In the investigation conducted by the police months after the incident, the authorities revealed that the couple had exchanged text messages using their Blackberry phones. It revealed that the two had plotted the gruesome murder. It was also through their flurry of exchanges that the police found out they had fled with an expensive camera, $6,000 in cash and a credit card.
When the police pieced together the evidence, it appeared that the texts and tweets of the couple had left a string of revealing evidence, or what was dubbed as a “trail of bread crumbs.” These all lead them right to the door of Amanda Logue.
Logue appeared before the grand jury and was then indicted on a charge of first-degree murder and the prosecutors had every intent of pursuing the death penalty.
One the other hand, the boyfriend Andrews, whom Logue described over Twitter as the love of her life remained on the loose and could have been anywhere. He was identified as the accomplice to the crime committed at the sex party.
When authorities traced their Twitter timeline, a week before the murder, Andrews and Logue posted tweets updating followers about a plan to cross the state to shoot some clips for sale. Logue also claimed that she had plans to head back to her husband’s home, which was located in Georgia.
According to records, Dennis Logue had been married to Amanda Logue for six years although he refused to comment about Andrew’s and Logue’s relationship upon the advice of his lawyers.
Apparent Lack of Remorse Upon tracing the series of events leading to the murder, it appeared to investigators that Logue and Andrews had planned and plotted the murder with cunning precision and apparent lack of any fear or remorse.
In fact, on the day of the sex party, Andrews posted on his Twitter timeline that he and Logue are “killing time” while they wait for the party to find them. It was also revealed that the night of the murder, Andrews was seen waiting outside the home of the victim, as evidenced in the flurry of text message exchanges with Logue.
Andrews praised Logue, particularly how she had remained committed to following through on their plan and Logue’s role in the murder. In fact, it was Logue who came up with the idea that she wanted to have sex after they killed Dennis.
It was also found out via their Twitter posts that on the following night when a relative found the victim’s body, with blood splattered on the ceiling fan and walls, the couple had spent their day watching movies and eating popcorn.
Authorities also discovered that Andrews had visited Home Depot and spent approximately $400 using the credit card they have stolen from Dennis.
Separate Ways In an interesting twist of fate, the couple was finally arrested on May 18, not for the murder of the tattoo artist but arising from charges of stolen clothes amounting to $67.97 from Beall's. It was clear that during this time the couple was not wanted for murder. Jail records show that Andrews and Logue were able to post bail and left, after which, the two were said to have parted ways.
Reports revealed that Logue, true to her tweet went back to her husband and apparently begged for salvation, no less at the altar of a local church. This was revealed by a friend and a few days later a detective paid her home a visit to question her about the murder.
However, while Logue admitted she attended the party and that she was there when Abrahamsen was murdered, she claimed that it was Andrews who killed the tattoo artist in a fit of jealousy when he saw her sharing a tub with Abrahamsen.
Logue also reported to the authorities that it was Andrews who took care of and collected the evidence such as the surgical gloves, knives and hammer.
A few days later, Andrews reportedly posted on his Twitter account, which was said to be his last post. The tweet was in Hebrew but it read, “"Amanda, please tell me you're okay, I fear I will never see you again.”
While Andrews and Logue had been known to walk a fine line between what’s proper and improper every so often, their friends had never fully come to terms with the fact that they had violent streaks. In fact, despite the fact that they did pornography for a living, close friends considered them decent people.
It is one thing to kill someone out of rage, but it is disconcerting to say the least to kill a person in cold blood. They had obviously plotted and connived about the said crime without any ounce of fear, hesitation or guilt.
It was said that the victim, 41-year-old Dennis Abrahamsen was definitely not a stranger to crime, as authorities also found several police records. Authorities revealed that Abrahamsen owned a number of businesses across Pasco that included Scooter’s Recovery and Towing service.
According to sheriff’s records, Abrahamsen was a repo man, however there were also supporting documents making this clear. It was said he was also denied on a number of applications in which he applied for licensing for the business.
In addition, there were a number of instances of reported domestic violence in 2005. In fact, according to records, his former girlfriend whom he had several kids with had filed a number of physical and mental abuse reports on Abrahamsen. Clearly, Abrahamsen was not saint but did he really deserve to die in with such brutality?
In the past, Abrahamsen also had a number of criminal convictions. One of which included a case filed by the Pasco Circuit Court. Among the common actions filed against the victim included restraining orders along with a negligence suit and certain cases that generally involved disputes over money.
But despite the glaring number of cases, Abrahamsen was known to be loved and well liked among his circle of friends. In fact, loyal customers, friends and employees were shocked over the untimely death of the victim.
Confrontation and Conviction When authorities were able to piece the events together, the transcripts of the text messages between Logue and Andrews were also included in the court records.
Two months after the death of the victim, Andrews and Logue had been charged with first-degree murder. Amanda Logue was detained in Florida without bail and Andrews led authorities on a wild goose chase and was later arrested in Tennessee.
In the arrest report, it was found that during his arrest, Andrews was working as a manager of a Chattanooga billiard club, which was a high-class cigar lounge and pool hall.
According to the arresting officer, Andrews appeared to be surprised and apparently did not expect the arrest. He was later jailed in Tennessee while he waited to be extradited back to Florida.
When Logue appeared before the grand jury, a distraught Donna Rella, cousin of the victim was there. She demanded Logue’s complete attention while she was talking and during that time she related the anguish and fear they all had felt following the death of Dennis.
The family of Abrahamsen refused to go on camera after they turned to leave the courtroom. Apparently, they were not happy with the 40-year sentence and claimed they felt Abrahamsen deserved true justice.
The couple shared a strange love story where passion and lust seemed to have fuelled the need to take risks and draw excitement from another source -- this time, from an entirely different source of thrill – murdering someone in cold blood.
